East Cricket Academy

Dear Players and Parents,

I am pleased to announce that the East Cricket Academy (ECA) will once again run through the winter.

The 2017/18 ECA winter training programme will now accommodate U10s – U12s as well as build on U13-U15s. Please be aware that Hertfordshire Cricket’s Charley Cricket program has been discontinued in the east.  East players are still eligible to join Charley Cricket at one of the other 3 centres.   If, however, you would prefer to train more locally then ECA is your best pathway. 

ECA will provide a fun, player centred development program for any player keen to learn and develop their skills. The ECA will have strong links with Hertfordshire Cricket which will ensure players are constantly monitored by the county and this symbiotic relationship will ensure no developing player from the East is overlooked.

This continued relationship between ECA and Hertfordshire Cricket should help develop youth cricket in the region.

In time, with good numbers and ensuring added value to player development, a quality fixture schedule may be arranged.  At present matches will not form an integral part of the academy for 2017/18.
